New York Botanical Garden : April 4, 2009 -- A visit to the New York Botanical Garden, Bronx, NY. The vast interior of the Haupt Conservatory featured the Brazilian Modern Orchid Show. Of the many gardens outside, I was particularly interested in photographing the waterfall in the Rock Garden. I lent a camera to JMC. New York Botanical Garden

January Birds and Ducks: 2010 : A Peregrine Falcon, ducks, and geese. Some photos are from Mill River, a brackish waterway in Nassau County. Others are from a walk at Point Lookout, led by the South Shore Audubon Society. Saw a lot of interesting sea ducks at Point Lookout: wish I'd had more light and more lens. :)
